Consistent and uniform airflow is key to maximizing efficiency in industrial air filtration. Uniform airflow keeps pressure steady while offering less abrasion or potential for filter bag damage. To help customers gain efficiencies, manufacturers must create air filter media (filtration fabrics) with uniformity in mind.

Albarrie’s Affinity™ Air Filter Media product line is a collection of high-performance nonwoven needlepunched technical fabrics designed to optimize air filtration in OEM applications. Used in constructing dust collector or baghouse filter bags, Affinity™ Air Filter Media reduces particulate emissions from toxic dust-laden air.

Albarrie has four specialized air filter media to fit the needs of various specialty applications. After decades of use and feedback from the industry, we’ve optimized our specialty filter media designs to improve properties such as filtration efficiency, cleanability and conductivity.

MORE SURFACE FILTRATION FOR VARIOUS PARTICLE SIZES

Affinity™ DD Duo Density Filter Media utilizes advanced fiber blending technology to combine multiple fiber sizes into the matrix of the filter media. The blended fiber matrix increases the filtration surface area of the media. It reduces pore sizes to increase filtration efficiency across many particle sizes while maintaining efficient airflows.

Affinity™ MC Micro-Cap Filter Media incorporates a layer of micro-denier fiber on the top side of the filter media. The micro-denier top layer features a smaller pore size and increased filtration surface area for enhanced surface filtering capabilities and dust cake formation while retaining efficient airflows, flexibility, and abrasion resistance.

Affinity™ AS Anti-Static Filter Media is a highly efficient anti-static filter media constructed with an integrated layer of woven stainless-steel scrim to provide uniform conductivity. Affinity Anti-Static is for applications prone to static charge. When properly grounded, the conductive fabric safely dispels electrostatic charges to minimize the risk of explosion or dust retention on the media due to static charges.

Release™ ePTFE membrane air filter media are constructed with a top layer of microporous and chemically immobile ePTFE membrane, which is laminated to Affinity™ filter media. The membrane features consistent pore size, uniform pore distribution, very high chemical resistance and is inherently non-stick, which provides enhanced surface filtration and cake release. Release™ fabrics are available with polyester, PPS, aramid, and polyimide (P84®) filter fabrics.

CUSTOMIZE FILTER MEDIA FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS

Fiber Selection is critical to your filter’s performance. The selection process starts with the application’s physical, chemical, and environmental criteria, the fiber and fabric properties needed, and the continuous required operating temperature and chemical resistance. All three deciding factors should align for optimal results.

The filter media is constructed based on your filter media design, which affects fabric properties and filtration performance. Albarrie’s filter media is a nonwoven needlepunch technical fabric constructed through fiber entanglement (via needlepunching) with options that may include a woven fabric reinforcement (scrim), fiber blending, and layering.

Albarrie’s wide variety of thermal and chemical finishing treatment(s) offers enhanced performance and increased longevity for its intended application.

Your custom filter media is tested to ASTM standards to meet your defined criteria. Albarrie supplies datasheets for weight, thickness, permeability, mullen burst, and tensile strength.
