Polyveyor is the ideal product for conveying dry powders. Its unique construction is designed specifically for pneumatic conveying and provides extremely uniform airflow, with no dead areas or over-aerated hot spots.
Unlike Solid woven cotton or polyester material often used for pneumatic conveying, Polyveyor does not need to be stretched for air to pass through it; just lay it down and it's ready to go. This drastically increases the life of Polyveyor.
Significant lateral rigidity lets Polyveyor operate with minimal sag under air pressure. Additionally, this rigidity allows Polyveyor to be easily cut into unusual shapes and blends. Polyveyor is available in widths up to 72", and can be longitudinally spliced for applications requiring a wider fabric.
Polyveyor has been specifically designed for the concepts and principles of fluidization.
This is a conveyor product often used in a fluidization application.
Uniform air permeability ensures an even flow of particulate, resulting in a longer operating life.
Due to the woven nature, airflow is inconsistent. Air will find the route of least resistance, resulting in areas not being fully fluidized. This shortens the life of the air bed.
Polyveyor will not fray when it is cut or holes are punched.
Woven belting will fray even after the edges or holes have been heat sealed.
Polyveyor does not require stretching when installed in order to fully fluidize, and Polyveyor will not stretch once installed.
Even after stretching in the installation process, this product continues to stretch, sometimes creating a 3-4 inch "hump" that may cause blockage problems and slower conveying.
Solid woven cotton fabric will mildew and eventually rot.
Solid woven fabrics, with numerous yarn "knuckles", have very large pore openings, allowing the particulate to infiltrate the fabric and block air flow. It also allows the product to be trapped within the fabric, causing excessive wear.
