Meteor™ is a filter medium comprised of an extremely stable scrim constructed of mineral Basalt fibers and yarns. The basalt scrim is combined, via a needle punching process, with a top layer of appropriate fibers of polymers. The polymer selection is defined by a specific application requirement.

When compared to other filter media materials available in today's market, METEOR™ takes a progressive step forward into these new dimensions:

METEOR™ filter media offers a viable option for demanding needlefelt filter fabric applications that would normally require a more costly PTFE scrim. Because the very dense METEOR™ scrim structure possesses extremely favorable mechanical attributes, there is no requirement to needle METEOR™ on both sides of the filtration fabric. METEOR™ can be combined as a vital filter media construction element with the following polymers:
