There are many filter bag applications where the challenges of the operation cause premature failure and inadequate bag performance. Albarrie has the experience and technology to eliminate these challenges by selecting the appropriate finish and treatment for your particular process.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Coats fiber with thin layer of material that will attract a thick layer of moisture.
  • Fabric holds a charge opposite to that normally accumulated to neutralize the static charge.
  • Improves conductivity of fibers.

RECOMMENDED USE

  • Polyester fabrics.
  • Typical for light polymer powders.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Imparts hydrophobic and oleophobic properties.
  • Provides a durable, clear protective barrier, characterized by extremely low surface tension; which is lower than that of oils.
  • Main purpose is to prevent filter bags from binding caused by the accumulation of wet, sticky or agglomerating dust.

RECOMMENDED USE

  • All filtration systems where moisture in the flue gas is present.
  • Drying processes, food processing and combustion processes.
  • Industrial facilities which burn any type of a fossil fuel.
  • Cement plants, Refuse Systems and Incinerators.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Applied to high temperature filtration fabrics by full impregnation of fabrics in PTFE dispersion.
  • Imparts high level of oil and water repellency.
  • Improves fabric cleanability and lowers operation pressure drop.
  • Improves abrasion resistance.
  • Prevents moisture and acids formed during dew point transitions from being absorbed by the filtration fabric.

RECOMMENDED USE

  • For all types of high temperature filtration applications where the possibility of an acid dew point transition exists.
  • Coal-fired boilers, cement, asphalt, incineration.

  • Reduces flammability of fabrics.
  • Slows spread of fire in situations when a flammable dust is ignited inside the dust collector system.

RECOMMENDED USE

  • Applications where there is a possibility that the filter bags may be ignited by sparks, smoldering dusts, tinder, chemical reaction or during dust collector repair or maintenance (welding).

How it Works

  • This process involves exposing the surface fibers to an open flame to singe the loose fiber ends.

Recommended Use

  • Applications with slight moisture and/or agglomeration are present, where the smooth singed surface promotes ideal dust release.

GLAZED


How it Works

  • This process involves melting of surface fibers.

Recommended Use

  • Applications where moderate to high levels of moisture and/or agglomeration are present.

PLAIN


How it Works

  • The process involves calendaring of fabric with the surface remaining intact, without fiber melting or burning.

Recommended Use

  • Applications where fine, dry dust is present.
