Ontario, Canada, May 22, 2007 – The North American expansion of SorbWeb™ Plus, a revolutionary secondary oil spill containment technology, has now been launched as a result of a new agreement between Albarrie Canada Limited and Kinectrics Inc.
SorbWeb™ Plus, which contains key component materials manufactured by Albarrie Canada Limited, is a unique secondary oil leak containment technology developed and patented by Kinectrics in Canada. An economical system, SorbWeb™ Plus seals only on contact with oil in a containment area, while its "smart" barrier layers allow water to pass through without accumulating.
Having been proven successful at power generation facilities in protecting against spills and leaks commonly associated with transformers, capacitors, tanks and other oil-filled equipment, SorbWeb™ Plus technology is now being introduced by Albarrie to a broader range of North American markets.
