These fabrics are made from P84™ (polyimide) fiber, Aramid fibers and Poly-ox™ fibers. Albarrie was one of the first companies in the world to manufacture fabrics made from P84™ polyimide fibers. Fabrics made from P84™ fibers are now used for the filtration of hot gases (up to 260°C/500°F ). P84™ fibers possess excellent filtration qualities and good chemical resistance to acids, oxidizing agents and organic solvents. Fabrics made from Aramid fibers can be used in applications where the operating temperature does not exceed 200°C (365°F) . Aramid fibers possess good resistance to oxidizing agents, however they possess relatively poor resistance to acids - especially in high moisture applications. PPS fibers can be used in applications where the working temperature is up to 210°C (347°F), depending upon oxygen concentration. PPS fibers possess good resistance to acids and moisture, however PPS has poor resistance to oxidizing agents.
