The highly profiled polyimide fiber presents a larger surface area for increased particle capture and collection/interception. Charged sites on these fibers cause the surface attraction to increase.
In application with Albarrie Composites, the dust - laden gas impinges on the surface of the polyimide fibers. Dust particles are intercepted predominantly on the surface rather than within the interstices of the fabric.
Pressure buildup is over two and a half times lower for Albarrie Composites while achieving virtually the same separation efficiency in side by side tests compared with membrane laminated fabric.
Albarrie Polyester Composite fabric yields higher separation efficiency coupled with lower pressure buildup during comparative filtration tests with a standard polyester fabric.
